In this plentiful
Country of ours, it is difficult to imagine that even with all the
devoted efforts of countless charitable individuals, organizations
and businesses that emergency food pantries and shelters are
continually challenged to keep their shelves stock.
Also, the face of hunger
will surprise you. Hunger affects working individuals and families
who are forced to make choices between food and basic necessities
like heat, medicine, rent or mortgage payment. It strikes people
with sudden illness, loss of income or new responsibility to care
for an additional family member. It does not discriminate against
age, race, gender or ethnicity and is found in even affluent
suburban communities.
The United Relief
Foundation welcomes and encourages similar minded people,
organizations and businesses to join the Lifeline of Hope and Help
in keeping shelves stocked for individuals, single parents and
families in their time of need.
